Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Went here to satisfy my crispy pata cravings and was not disappointed at all. The servings are big so although their food prices are a bit steep, it's good for sharing. The crispy pata can be good for 4-5 hungry people, I think."
"We were here last December 22 to buy some ham but we were informed that it already sold out. We were here at around 3 in the afternoon. We were told to return the following day and that they are not going to take any reservations. We then opted to try their food and we were told that the Mamalols special baked pork ham steak and Mamalols smoked ham belly are both available. I recommend both dishes but I would prefer the Mamalols special baked pork ham steak because it can be paired with the lumpia which is served with Mamalol’s vinegar. The vinegar is actually delicious and I actually bought a one liter bottle (125 php) to take home. We returned the next day at around 9 am (we were told that they open at 8) only to be informed that they already had a “cut-off” the night before and that there are no available hams for purchase for that day. We were also informed that the ham will only be available on the 26th for walk-in customers as they will not allow reservations. We were confused and disappointed since their staff could not explain very well what had happened. How could there be a “cut-off” when they do not allow reservations?"
"Good variety in the menu. Food was good. Service staff were friendly and tried their best to be attentive but it was abusy afternoon too."
"The place is spacious. The parking lot is up to 3 cars. The food is good. I tried the aloha burger. It’s good but the ham overpowers the overall taste of the burger although the ham is delicious."
"Love the place most especially the Mamalols Bake Ham and Crispy Binagoangan"
"The halo-halo is uniquely delicious; clearly differentiated from the typical Chowking, Mang Inasal, or Razon's halo-halo. Amazingly, Mamalols' halo-halo has its own flavorful identity and my taste buds just can't pinpoint that special ingredient. As for the main course, the baby back ribs is meat-off-the-bone tender. It is Filipino sweet and not Mexican spicy, nor American bland. The mashed potatoes that come with it is first rate along with the not so typical gravy. While the mixed vegetables side dish is sparse, it really harmonized well with the ribs. Rice is plain ordinary. As for the venue, the airconditioning is average okay while the restroom is small and spartan."
"Definitely one of our favorite places to dine. Their ham is superb! Fried lumpia is a must try as well as the binagoongan rice. High chair is available for kids. Everything is clean and good service from staff. Though the parking space isn't enough we manage to go there before peak hrs for lunch. Would definitely recommend this resto!"
"Dagupan has seen so many restaurants come and go and Mamalol’s is one of the OG restaurants where locals frequently go. I recommend the Mamalol’s Chicken Ham with fried or fresh lumpia. Come hungry because their serving is plenty. Haven’t visited for a while and so pleased the food is still the same as I remember it. There is comfort in the familiar taste and the restaurant’s atmosphere. Their crew is also attentive and pleasant and food served after a reasonable amount of time even though all the tables were full when we went. They have high chairs for babies. This place is perfect for families."
